Louise has always had a passion for the healing benefits of movement and the joy that it inspires. After a career in the performing arts, teaching dance and yoga she was drawn to Pilates after sustaining a knee injury. The effects of Pilates rehabilitation were so profound that this prompted Louise to complete a Diploma of Professional Pilates with Polestar Australia. Since that time she has worked with a wide variety of clients with a wide spectrum of needs ranging from injury rehabilitation to elite athletic preparation. Her aim is always to facilitate self-healing, self-awareness and empowerment though movement.
Inspired by the ongoing journey of learning, Louise continually adds to her existing skills and is dedicated to sharing this knowledge with others. Holding a Bachelor of Education majoring in Dance, and a Master of Arts from the University of London, she is the Principal Educator for Polestar Education Australia in Canberra delivering the Polestar Teacher Training Programs in both the ACT and throughout Australia. Louise is a committed participant within the Pilates community and she is a member of Pilates Alliance Australia.
Jen has been teaching Pilates since 2014. She has an Advanced Diploma of Pilates with Pilates International and is currently studying Exercise Physiology at the University of Canberra.
Ralene attained her Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction with the Pilates International Training Centre in 2006 and has recently completed the Diploma of Polestar Pilates Studio and Rehabilitation Method. Ralene left a public service career in 2006 to follow her true passion: working with people to share a love of movement.
In addition to teaching Pilates, she has a Certificate III in Fitness and spent many years teaching group fitness programs (including Les Mills and Zumba). She has taught Ballroom Dancing since 2007 and completed her Associate Exams in American Ballroom (Smooth) and Rhythm with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in 2013.
Due to a back injury Ralene now focuses only on teaching Pilates and Ballroom Dance. She credits her Pilates practice with keeping her dancing, and loves seeing the positive change this gentle, precise movement brings to all aspects of her client’s lives.
Amber has been teaching Pilates in Canberra since 2010. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others and facilitating movement as a healing modality.
